Full Day Polar Bear Tours
Ground-level 4x4 bear viewing and photography along the Hudson Bay shoreline
Overview
A Full Day in the Middle of a Bear Migration
As polar bears become more active in October and November in anticipation of the formation of sea ice, we offer ground level tours to view and photograph polar bears and other wildlife in the Churchill area. With the use of 4x4 vehicles we explore a network of trails along the Hudson Bay shoreline, smack dab in the middle of a polar bear migration route.
This tour has an emphasis on photography, but we are happy to accommodate non-photographers as well. Our experienced guides and mandatory permits allow us to exit the vehicle to create unforgettable moments, and our low guest-to-guide ratio grants more flexibility for a personalized, intimate experience.
Tours depart town at 8:00 AM and return between 4:00 and 5:30 PM depending on conditions. Please bring enough lunch, snacks and drinks for the day — but do not feed the guides or the bears, for their own safety. There is access to washrooms periodically through the day.
